SIX DAYS SHORT COURSE (NDVH): In this short course of training a total 12 cases will be done, two each day. Hands on training is given, trainee gets to assist in all the cases. For the initial two days we demonstrate our way of doing hysterectomy. You will get to have feel of the tissues, pedicles and pouches. In third-fourth day the trainee gets to open anterior or posterior pouches, applying clamps on pedicles, dividing and suturing of 1 or 2 pedicles. Else you can learn to use energy sources like bipolar / ligasure, to deal with the various pedicles. In last two days most of candidates do perform one or two cases of NDVH independently, under direct supervision of the trainer. Doing complete case independently depends upon the individual’s skills of tissue handling and suturing in narrow space like vagina. We do encourage and train to sharpen your skills. In difficult or complicated cases, we do complete the procedure with laparoscopic or open approach, so one can have idea of when to switch between different ways of doing hysterectomy.
There will be not be more than two candidates for the batch.
We have one batch every month from April to September. This starts on the last Monday of the month and ends on the coming Saturday. In months of May and June we may have 2 batches.
